Light flail mower DELEKS® APE-140 with a 140 cm working width for compact tractors with a 540 rpm PTO. Designed and manufactured by DELEKS®, it is ideal for maintaining grassland, vineyards, orchards and agricultural areas. Compatible with tractors from approximately 18 to 35 HP equipped with a Category 1 three-point hitch.

The APE series is designed, manufactured and assembled entirely by DELEKS®, ensuring direct control over the key production stages, from steel fabrication to final assembly. This approach guarantees consistent quality standards, long-term availability of original spare parts and continuous product development based on field experience.

Applications

The DELEKS® APE-140 is a professional flail mower developed for compact tractors used in green area maintenance and light agricultural work.

Its 140 cm working width provides the highest productivity within the APE range, allowing larger areas to be maintained in less time while preserving the low weight and manoeuvrability that distinguish this series.

It is the ideal solution for maintaining vineyards, orchards, olive groves, grassland, agricultural fields and uncultivated areas, where high productivity is required while remaining compatible with compact tractors.

Thanks to its low weight, it is suitable for small, low-power tractors such as Kubota, Iseki, Yanmar, Pasquali and equivalent models, while delivering a shredding performance normally associated with heavier machines.

It is designed for shredding grass, brambles, leaves, crop residues and small pruning branches.

Construction features

Unlike most lightweight flail mowers available on the market, the APE series is designed to operate with hammer flails, providing more effective shredding of grass, brambles and small woody residues than traditional Y-blades.

The entire frame is manufactured from SSAB structural steel, combining high mechanical strength, elasticity and low weight. This design reduces the overall machine weight without compromising durability, making it possible to use hammer flails on a lightweight flail mower.

The rotor is manufactured from ARVEDI steel tube and is electronically balanced to minimise vibration and ensure smooth operation at full working speed.

The hammer supports are manufactured from HARDOX wear-resistant steel.

The transmission is equipped with an integrated freewheel and is covered by a 3-year warranty. Belt tension is adjusted by means of an external belt tensioner, while the adjustable rear roller allows precise cutting height adjustment.

For this model, the steel sheet is sourced in Italy and processed at a DELEKS® production facility located within the European Union. Direct management of production ensures consistently high quality standards and continuous control over the key manufacturing stages.

Transport and delivery

The machine is shipped on a wooden pallet with protective side panels, designed to provide maximum protection during transport.

Before shipment, every flail mower undergoes the quality inspections required by DELEKS® production standards. It is supplied with gearbox oil and all lubrication points already greased, making it virtually ready for operation.

Only the three-point hitch needs to be fitted, a simple operation requiring just two standard spanners and only a few minutes.

Maintenance

The machine has been designed to simplify routine maintenance. The external belt tensioner allows quick transmission adjustment, while all main greasing points are easily accessible, reducing servicing time.
